1990 240 harnesses in my 1986 740 what all do i need to do?

ok question here,

i got offered the harnesses from a 1990 240 to go into my 1986 740 what all would i need to take off of the 240 and install into my 740 to get the harnesses to interchange? the ecu i know would be one(i think 90 may be a 2.4 or possibly still a 2.0 lh)

sensors etc.
is the swap even possible?

id be doing the harnesses completely. or atleast from the 6 pin connectors on down but thats where the rot is(by connectors currently taped up temporarily) nowhere else that im aware of. ill be gone till next monday but will check responses when i return.
