940 Maximum life of Regina fuel pump ? 900 1993

What is the maximum life anyone has achieved with an original Regina in tank pump ? My 1993 940 wagon has the original pump at 220K miles.

Yesterday the car stopped running while my wife was driving. She pulled off the road and waited 30 seconds. Then the car restarted and ran fine. A couple of years ago the car did this 2 or 3 times, but only in a very heavy rain. I thought the problem was moisture getting into the distributor cap through a slot that I eventually sealed. Since then the car has run fine in several heavy rains. Yesterday the sun was shining so whatever happened was not moisture related.

My 1991 740 wagon has the same Regina fuel system. The original pump quit in 1998 with no warning at about 160K miles. The pump had Volvo markings and was made by AC Delco. The replacement USA manufactured AC Delco EP377 pump from 1998 is still working 170K miles later. EP377 was identical to the original Volvo AC Delco pump except the electrical connector on top was slightly different.

I have a new unused pump that was purchased about 3 years ago. It is identical to the pump shown in Art Benstein's illustrated detail file in the FAQ. I ordered the pump as 3507736 from RockAuto and assumed it would be AC Delco. It came in a white box and the pump has Ellis 25179274 on the side - no mention of AC Delco. It looks identical to the Regina pumps shown on the IPD and FCP Groton web sites. There is no information on the country of manufacture. I am wondering if this is a quality pump and how long it will last if I install it ?

Thanks,

Mike
