So after 438,000 miles on Ol' Blue I have worn the driver's door handle out. Went to my local favorite P&P on Saturday only to find out they have crushed everything prior to 2000!

So - next effort was that famous auction site. Only a couple OEM originals listed on there. As we all know, not everyones idea of "excellent" is the same so I didn't want to buy something as worn out as what I have.

Last stop was FCP. Ordered a new handle from them, OEM not available. Had to buy the Scantech manufactered part. What a piece of junk. Brand new it has as much "slop" in the assembly as my 25 year old part. Housing is painted gloss black vs. matte black, no handle to door gasket, riveted pieces look like a 5 year old put it together, and on and on... Not FCP's fault, they sell what they can get..

So my plea to my fellow boarders is does anyone have a drivers side front or rear door handle they would be willing to sell? I don't want to waste my time putting this piece of junk in my door. If you can help a brother out please let me know. I will also put a wanted ad in the Classified but I don't think everyone looks at that.
