Hi Folks

I replaced the front shocks on my '58 in Fall '07 with Monroe? p/n 276440. I don't put many miles on the car but in spite of that they are already blown- all wet on the outside and not dampening much at all.

Has anyone out there had similar disappointment? Are there any other reasonable-cost options?

One other oddity- when I went to replace them originally the old ones were installed upside-down. Very strange.
