As with many of my car decisions, available funds dictates the purchase. I bought a Bargain radiator with the following enticement; "Take 15% off this item, plus spend over $100 and receive a $50 coupon off of a future purchase of $100 or more. Enter code AG18 during checkout. Online only.
Ready-Rad Radiator"
Well the Ready-Rad #1 installed easily, and for a short while things were okay. Then a drip from the tranny line fittings started. I ignored for a while until it became more than a drip. I took it back to the store where I had the online purchased unit shipped.
Customer service was excellent, they checked stock, had none BUT would have one in the morning. I picked up replacement, Ready-Rad #2, happy at the positive experience of the customer service, installed it lickety split.
Filled antifreeze, fired it up, let it idle 5-10 minutes, no visble leaks. HURRAY. Took it on a road test with my son. went about 10-15 miles, then the smell, oh the smell of tranny fluid!
Got home, backed out the fitting for the tranny lines, whoa! It wobbles! And the threads are incomplete too. Oh well, this unit is not ready for prime time. Pulled it, returned to store, got refund and apologies. Still happy with the customer service. Ready Rad is not ready for prime time.
Off to Crazy Ray's this weekend. http://www.crazyraysautoparts.com/
