Hi All
I think it's time to change my front struts/rear shocks. I wouldn't have dream of doing this type of work year ago. I am learning so much from all of you. Thank you for sharing and thank you as always! And you guys rock!!!
Q1. How high do I need to jack up my car in order to swing out the strut assembly?
Q2. Before I loosen the top nut with a 15/16" offset wrench with a 10mm open wrench, does it help/easier to loosen if I put a spring clamp and relieve the pressure? By the way, this is for loosening the top nut only, it's not for complete removal.
Q3. A 24" pipe wrench from HFT can handle removal/tightening gland nut? It doesn't look sturdy like one from Home Depot.
Q4. "The gland nut should tighten up before it bottoms out in the tube." What's this mean??? The gland nut should not touch/mate top of the tube?
