Hissing noise from HVAC S90-V90 1997

Has anyone experienced a hissing noise when airflow selection knob is at the 10-11 O'Clock position, to direct all airflow to the center dash vents? It is heard even with the fan control at the OFF position.

12 O'Clock = defrost + windshield and side window vents
3 O'Clock = floor vents, windshield and side window vents
6 O'Clock = floor vents
7-8 O'Clock = Bi-level
9 O'Clock = AUTO
10-11 O'Clock = center panel vents (Hissing noise only at this position)
