89 240 no start- help 200

Frau Bleukar and I are 125 miles from home base and she is acting badly.

Drove the car out to pick up dinner and she failed to start after 10 minutes of sitting. The lights work and do not dim when the key is turned. There was a click at the starter on the first attempt, then nothing. Shifting from park to neutral did not help.

Am I looking at a bad ignition switch? All thoughts would be appreciated as to how I can get her started. I have virtually no tools with me and really don't want to rely on AAA to get home.
