Factory hitches that will fit a 90 740T + Insert? 700 1990

Hey all. I'm doing the crazy thing and moving to New Mexico to transfer schools.

I'm planning to tow a trailer, but need a hitch. I saw one on a 745 or 945 the other day - it was factory with the weird rectangular hole.

1) Will a hitch from any 2/7/9xx fit on my 744?

2) What is the insert that people are having welded in? Or are they having sheet metal welded in?
