Bad luck with used fuel pumps

Just an anecdotal heads up. I pulled two fuel pumps from the junkyard - one was DOA, the other died about a week later (after I sold the car to my friend). It sounded like a hornet's nest and the car was repeatedly stalling and not starting on him. Needless to say, he didn't want the car and I bought it back from him to save the friendship.

Anyway - Junkyard pumps suck, they just don't pump (hyuck hyuck)
