How noisy are the steel timing gears 140-160

I have to replace the fiber gear on my 140.

I've had a new Cloyes steel / aluminum set sitting on the shelf for a few years.
I'm don't mind using another fiber gear, but since money is a little tight, I'm thinking of putting the Cloyes gears on instead.
I don't expect a pushrod redblock to be quiet, it's just that I don't want to hear gear whine as though a supercharger is installed!

Any real-world experience?
