1987 740 Turbo - M46

I removed the transmission weeks ago and can't determine where the cup-shaped spacer goes.

TRANSMISSION STUD

?SPACER?

MOUNT/CROSS-MEMBER

FLANGE NUT

... or is it...

And, finally, which direction does the space mount? Con-caved part up or down?
