940 odometer one tenth digit..red ? 900

Hello Bricksters in the 900 forum. I read in my 740 manual that if the speedo is changed with one from the dealers then the tenth digit of the odometer will be red. Is it the same for the 900 series?. The reason I am asking as that I see a 940 for sale and the tenth digit is red.So I am a bit suspicious as to the actual mileage advertised.
