Coolant leak S90-V90 1998

Hope you guys can help!
Couple of weeks ago coolant was leaking from the back of the engine area.
I could see it was wet on the top right side of the bell housing.
It was running down the back of the pan.
A good inde Volvo specialist changed out the heater valve and all the heater hoses back there. All of the connections are now tight and dry.

But it still leaks, except that no coolant is showing on either side of the bell housing. It does not leak when sitting, not running.
But in the 40 degree AM I put a newspaper under it, start it, and see drips onto the newspaper as soon as it warms up. Without a lift. I cannot see how the coolant gets to the bottom of the engine without showing on the sides of the bell housing. The drips seem to be dripping from the drain plug area as the lowest point.

I have swapped out the overflow tank cap with a known good one, but it makers no difference. Also have wrapped that tank with paper towels and no coolant shows up.

No other hose is leaking.

Question is where do you think it is coming from?
Are there freeze plugs in the back of the block?
Anyone have experience with a radiator leak stopper?
If the trans has to be pulled to get to the area where it seems the coolant is coming from, what is the time to R & R it.

The car is usable with the overflow tank cap left loose.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rich.
