240DL - Probably Didn't have oil, overheated. cracked radiator upper connector. Won't start. Now what?! 200

Posting for my daughter.

Sweet thing changed her own oil, and even added oil! But only one quart... :( Drove it for a month.

Was going down the highway and PAFF! Lots of sweet white smoke (steam!!) and from the tailpipe as well.

Towed it to the house...

Once home, added water and oil. The water reservoir has a weird smell. No apparent oil in water, or vice versa. Could be that they never had a chance to mix because there wasn't any TO mix?

It turns over, but the water comes gushing out of the reservoir like a geyser! She is, at the moment JB Welding a crack where the upper radiator hose connects to the radiatior.

What to do? What is our next step. If we JB weld the crack and fill up and close the water system , do you think it will start????

So sorry to have such a bad thing to happen to such a good brick...
