I have a 90 740 turbo. The lights suck. The lenses are plastic and they're somewhat hazy. I've cleaned the headlights' interior of dust (used to live in a cornfield, no joke) with soap and running water.
The 845 240 I have with sealed beams has AWESOME lighting. I can set high/low independently and every new bulb comes with a new reflector.
I could get glass lenses to the tune of $70-something each, but the headlight adjusters (all-plastic for durability ;) ) are missing numerous teeth and adjusting the lights is like pulling teeth.
Here's the question:
Will older sealed beam style headlight assemblies fit into the space the single-lens headlamps do? Or is this reversion impossible because some necessary mounting hardware was eliminated in the transition from 89 to 90? I know there are some trim pieces that fit on top of the older style lights, so I figure it's worth looking into before I try to change anything.
Cheers
