Removing a k-jet fuel distributor 200 1980

I've got a '80 245 that has sat for a while, and now is refusing to start.

It's got spark, and fuel at the filter.

I'm lead to believe that there is an issue with the fuel distributor. I replaced the plugs, and after cranking a bit, the new plugs were soaked with gasoline.

The car has (mostly) sat for a couple of months but ran okay the last time it fired up.

I've looked in the Haynes manual and it doesn't seem to have a good description of how to get the fuel distributor out of the car. Any suggestions?

Any quick bandaid fixes you can suggest would also be appreciated. (I'm prepping a pair of '80 station wagons for sale, so I'm not all that concerned about taking a ton of time to make a repair.)

Thanks as always.
