No Start 87 240 B230F Jetronic. 200

Got a problem.
I've had a problem a few times of my 87 Volvo 240 B230F Jetronic not wanting to start. After I waited a hour or so (maybe less) it would crank and run normally until the next no start.
I'm pretty familiar with these cars so I thought I would be able to handle it if it refused to start and get it home.
Well yesterday I was working at a Polling place...urging my candidate on, and when I got ready to leave....no start.
A small "chug-a-lug" and then nothing.
I've got power to the coil and the fuel relay pulls in (the first stage), but the second stage doesn't activate and the pumps don't run.
I think that I've narrowed it down to the distributor...and a problem with the internal electronics in the distributor.
I pulled the coil wire from the distributor, held it close to ground and cranked the engine.....no spark.
As I said, I have 12V on the coil primary, so the problem must be in the distributor.
I also found that the connector where the signal wires enter the distributor was cracked and the wires were supporting the cable.
I'm going back to the car this morning and taking a spare ignition control unit, coil, fuel relay and distributor.
Any other ideas that I may have missed?
thanks
steve
