1 vs 2-wire blower motors - hard to switch wiring? 700 1990

Hey all. I've got a 90 740T. The blower motor's on its last legs, and I'd like to replace it before it dies outright. I've already cleaned and lubed it, but I don't think I used proper lube... anyway, it's old as all get out.

I see that advance auto still has the 1 and 2-wire blower motors. The wiring pigtail on my car is already AWOL from the PO (or used car dealer).

-Is there a particular difficulty with adapting the 1-wire motor to a 2-wire harness?

-I'm guessing that the ground wire would be routed to one of the mounting screws or the case somewhere, is that right?

Cheers!
