roof rack 200 1989

When I had the wagon painted not that long ago, it came out really nice. A medium-dark metallic grey. I removed the roof rack myself for the paint job, and bought new well nuts from a hardware store and replaced all of them. The roof rack itself looks pretty good as it is, but lately Ive been thinking it might be nice to do one of a couple or so things, have it re-chromed? Have it powder coated, maybe black? A flat or satin black should match pretty well with the grey, imo.

Wish Id thought about it at the time it was being painted, but even if I don’t do anything it is in petty good condition, Im just thinking to maybe have it refinished just to make it look new and sort of match even better with the new paint job. We seldom use it, but its nice to have it when the need arises. Even if I do nothing it won’t be a big deal. My guess is re-chroming is probably more pricey than powder coat, I don’t really know. I can call some places and check it out I guess but thought I'd ask opinions here first. Price could be an issue, just depends how big an issue!

Thanks.
