I have a two door GLT and I would like to rebuild the driver's bucket seat. I bought one from a wrecker as a temporary replacement and am about to get into wrestling the seat out. I have done this in the past but am sorry to report that I smashed the large plastic knob that sets the rake of the seat back. In fact I smashed it and then smashed the replacement knob whilst trying to wrestle the seat back into place. Thus I am paranoid about this knob when trying to wrestle the seat out once again.
I am thinking of removing the seat back before attempting to remove the bottom pad. This would reduce weight and allow for a less difficult process to ensue. Once the back is off I could then lift the bottom of the seat out without busting a gut. Maybe I wouldn't smash the knob again either.
Does anybody know of a good diagram of this seat that displays how it goes together? I could probably work out the process just by looking at a parts book but I don't know where to find one.
