stumbling 900

i have a 92 940 turbo. the car runs fine with normal driving but when i step on the gas to pass someone or try to engage the passing gear the car car stumbles and hesitate and will notpick up speed any additional speed until i release the gas . now this happens when im in 4th gear [overdrive]. does this sound to be something electrical like sensor or maybe the turbo or fuel related. the car only has 134000 miles...
