Replace dash instrument lights with LED's? 200 1992

One of my instrument bulbs is out (one of the three with the brown/red base). Looks like there is not much choice in terms of replacements and they are expensive ($12-14 each!) and with shipping they becomr even more unreasonably expensive. Makes me think about upgrading to LED's once and for all. Has anyone repalced these bulbs with either with a ready made LED bulb or perhaps rolling your own with an LED wedge bulb in the existing bases or just an LED soldered to the base.

The OEM bulb seems to be soldered directly to the base - although I have managed to extract the bulb and could potentially retrofit whatever into the base

This site seems like a potential source but I'm not sure what size bulb I need.
