So, after buying a black plastic replacement seat-back latch and the matching trim, it seems the problem lies with the White plastic piece it connects into. The two plastic anchors on that white plastic piece that fit into the black plastic latch, are broken.. Making operation impossible. I'm not giving up however. I don't want to buy another "combo pkg" off of eBay, and there are no junkyards close to me... Does anyone know a "ghetto" solution to this? Or where to buy that little white piece?.... I have enough metal working tools to make something, like a plate, but I don't know where to start. I'm looking at multiple images to try and figure it out, but am having a hard time coming up with anything.
Has anyone else made anything that works? Or does anyone have one they'd be willing to part with?... Currently I have 2 decent sized zip ties on the metal wires to aid in unlatching it. It works, but looks horrible. I'd like to just repair it properly. So close yet so far. Any help would be appreciated.
