hi sages- think i have to replace the ignition switch on my 92 240 wagon. it is to the lower right of the wheel on the dash. glad it isnt in the column which would make it a full 5 F difficulty on the F scale of difficulty. the blower motor replacement for your reference is rated 5F+. problem is the key which goes in and out easily has started sticking. uncle moe says just squirt some silicon spray or lock ease graphite spray into the keyhole and on the key and work it a few times. what do you think. know from past experience changing out ignition switches in old fords and dodges all you had to do was take the connector off the back of the switch , wrench off the hold down nut and pull it out. suspect the volvo job is more hellacious. problem is usually the pins in the ignition tumbler are worn , bent or have developed burrs which cause binding. let me know your take on the spray shortcut and the removal if you have done this job. also whether the part is still available and if i should expect to be clipped. thanks tons oldduke
