Auxiliary Air Vavle issues-maybe 140-160

75 Volvo 164 electric AAV.

Okay, I replaced the fuel pump and runs much better. Ran quite well at first, but developed a rough idle. The idle adjustment screws turns, but it requires lots of turning to make any adjustments in the rpm. Plus, the idle seems to fluctuate on its own. Did some research and according this link: http://w107.pbworks.com/f/DJetronic.pdf on page 15.

"With engine at normal operating temperature, attach tachometer and CO meter to engine. Ensure auxiliary air regulator is closed by pulling off hose between intake duct and the regulator and covering the opening. Engine RPM should not change. If RPM changes significantly, engine is either not warm or air regulator is faulty. See Idle adjustment specifications table in this article."

When I disconnect the hose from the intake duct and close it off, even when the engine is warm, it about dies rather quickly. Is this a defective AAV? I am unable to find any online. Does anyone know where I can get one OR how to service this device OR offer ideas as to what else might be the problem? As usual, thanks.
