'Detail Doctor' 200 1989

I don't know how many , if any, Bricksters has seen the ad on tv for 'Wipe Clean', I think is the name, and 'Detail Doctor'. 'Detail Doctor' is being promoted by 'Danny (the Count) Kroker' of Las Vegas 'fame' . Well, after seeing Danny promote it (and Im sure he was paid a tidy sum) I decided to go for it. ( I bet 'Wipe New' and 'Detail Doctor' are the same thing)

The product is supposed to be a liquid that you simply wipe on outside things like the (usually) black parts like the back of your mirrors, some trim, etc. and is supposed to give it a nice new shine that is supposed to last a long long time, morreso than other similar products (they say) that you can get in say 'O Reileys.

Got it end of last week, used it. I will say it doesn't take much, goes a long way. So far it seems to do a really good job for what it is. Will it last as it says in the commercials? That remains to be seen. One thing is that it has a 'weird aroma", that i can't figure it out yet, but it smells 'familiar, sort of like bannana oil mixed with -hmm-apple scent maybe, and tobacco (?), just not sure. Whatever it is, it is a strong scent and I wish i knew what that scent is.

I know I've smelled that same scent somewhere before. Anyway I used it on back of the mirrors, the bumpers, other black trim oustide, and it looks really nice---so far. IF you use it, be careful about getting it on the glass and body paint. It's a bit hard to remove but it will scrub off. I dont know if it would 'do anything' to the paint, but I got it off quickly. the windows where it got on left an oily film, but I used "Invisible Glass" cleaner a couple times and got it off.

Anyone else?
