Good Morning!
I'm attempting to install a Scandix alternator (with adaptor bracket) on my 65 B-18. It's a Iskra brand from Slovenia (which doesnt inspire much confidence). I've pasted the Scandix instructions below. They claim this is an 'internal regulator' model, meaning I don't use the firewall mounted Bosch voltage regulator (right?)
Issue is that without the Bosch regulator, the green DF wire doesn't hook up to anything.
Can anyone advise me on how to hook up this alernator? (the alternator has D+ and B+ terminals on the back)
From Scandix:
"brand new (not rebuild) alternator including voltage regulator to replace the old style generator or the newer style alternators, on early B18 engines you may need to use an adaptor to make it work, on the newer type of engine blocks (66 and newer) there is a hole in the front of the engine to bold it on when changing from generator to alternator:
connection generator D+ = connection alternator B+
connection generator DF+ = connection alternator D+
connection generator D- = connection alternator none "
