I'm about to tackle this job. Having never done it before, I've read some of the reports on BB. Two quick quick questions, one of which is probably sort of dumb.
First, after you take off all the bolts and nuts, shocks, springs, sway bars, etc. does the trailing arm itself come completely off the car? I think it does, and then you replace the front bushing by pressing in a new one at a shop, and the big bushing still is in the car and you have to take it off and replace it with a special tool.
Second, When replacing the big bushing, would poly result in a harsher and noisier ride? I'm thinking rubber(the new style) because I drive very conservatively and am more interested in comfort and low noise levels.
Thanks
Jim
