So, living in Maine and not having a garage to work in, and needing to replace the blower motor and knowing what a PITA job it is, I have found a need to bring my car to a shop . I asked around to get some prices for this and NO ONE would touch it, finally someone recommended someone that is a bit of a Volvo specialist in the area. I called him and a a great conversation about the work to be done, and he was obviously very knowledgeable about these cars and his prices are reasonable too. After waiting 2 weeks to get an appointment I brought the car to him to have the work done. I went to pick it up today only to find it there, with its insides, outside. No big deal, really, but while talking to him I discovered he is a pack-rat of Volvo goodies. Not 1, not 2, but 3, yes 3 factory tachometers with small replacement clock that goes just to the left of the radio. 2 complete nice sets of virgo wheels and steel wheels and more. So I got the tach/clock set for next to nothing and he will install it since everything was out already anyways. So, if any of you want something, just ask and I will see if he has it and what the price is.
