First time clutch replacement 242 turbo 200 1983

I have been reading threads on clutch replacement. I have a couple more questions.

I read on one thread that the transmission was separated from the bell housing then the bell housing was removed. Does this simplify getting to bell housing bolts or is it an unnecessary extra step?

How high off the ground do I need to get the car?

The engine is all stock internally. I have added a b21f intake manifold, a 90+ exhaust mainfold and intercooler. Currently I am running Mitsubishi 13c till I get the original Garret rebuilt. Will OE clutch and pressure plate be OK with this setup?

Thanks
