Which is the right side for rods to be connected to the pistons? 120-130

I got the block back, bored to 030! All looks good. I also got the rods back with the pin bearings installed.

It was when I was going to connect the rods to the pistons that I realized I didn't make note of which was the right side.

The numbers stamped on the side of the rods (on the arm and on the cap) to denote which cylinder it goes in...should it be facing the oil filter side? Or doesn't it really matter?

Please advise. Thanks in advance, hombres!
