Long time no post. :)
Situation.
92 240 wagon; auto w/ 240K, shows all symptoms of a bad EGR valve. Shop pulled code that points to the EGR.
Symptoms have been there for months on end, but check engine light just came on recently.
This part is expensive. Can it be removed entirely, and what would I need to change with it? (I am thinking the main ECU/ECM)
I am in a state that does not check or have requirements for smog control.
