My 1993 245 has about 200,000K and has been running like a champ for ~4 years.
I kept up on the 5K maint. schedule until 190K, but for last 2 years have gotten behind because the odometer quit.
It has been running a little rough on start up for a month or so. I added 44K to (hopefully) clean fuel injectors ~three-fourths tank ago. It seems to stop the uneven running very quickly.
This morning my wife tried to drive to town with the kids... immediately after start up, it started cutting in and out hard... shook the exhaust so hard I could hear it from inside the house. After a futile attempt to drive up the street, it cut entirely on her.
I ran outside and started it right back up. I drove it up and down the street, but it was getting fuel only sporadically (my poor daughter got a little seasick with the surging).
Sounds like a fuel access issue, but unlikely the fuel pump since my 1984 245 just died, and stay that way, when it lost the in-tank pump. Could it be electrical.
Can anyone give me pointers on how to troubleshoot this new-to-me issue.
