I bought a set of relatively cheap ball joints from FCP Euro for my 91 244 the other day and noticed one of them looks different than the other.

The one with the colored metal bands looks like the ones in the pictures but the other has no metal bands on the rubber boot....is this normal? I'm a ball joint virgin so please bear w/me.
