I'll be moving with my '83 244 to the Albuquerque area soon; is there a reliable, reasonable mechanic anybody has had good experiences with?

For anyone in Austin TX, I believe I can recommend Vol-Tech. They always seem to do it right, at a reasonable price... Have new and used parts, as well as sales.
