.....tootling along my neighbor comes over and witnesses the blue smoke from my tailpipe, just as Im wondering WTF is going on we check all possibilities visually and find oil in the vacuum line from the distributor. Ive noticed this in the past as well but now it seems to be a bigger problem. Thinking about the build of this distributor the only way oil can be pulled through is if the seal at the turning shaft is bad and if the diaphragm is allowing oil to pass into the vacuum line. How else can oil be getting into the vacuum line especially when its............ a vacuum line?
