Best method to bleed brakes on 240 200

Hi Guys,

I recently replaced the left rear brake caliper on my 89 240 DL. After several attempts to bleed the brakes, I still have "soft" brakes.

I have been trying to use the 2 person method. Turn ignition ON, my son then pumps the brakes several times before holding depressed. I then open the bleeder. A few attempts have released air in the line, but, can't seem to remove all as the brakes are still "soft". Tried same process on opposite side rear caliper and steady flow of fluid comes out when opening bleeder (with brake depressed).

Should I try bleeding front calipers?

Any suggestions on better method to use to bleed the brakes?

Thanks ahead of time.
