How may wires SHOULD my O2 sensor have? 900 1994

I am playing with a 1994 940 Base model and just replaced the O2 sensor with a Bosch "reputed" to be the right one for my car.

The one I pulled had 3 wires, but I just noted in the FAQ that 1993+ Volvos used a 4 wire sensor. I have only had the car for a year, so it is quite possible a previous owner replaced a 4 wire rig with a 3 wire rig. I have not gone back under the hood (will tonight) to see what the wire harness side has coming out of it.

I don't recall seeing any 4 wire sensors while shopping.

Any clarity is appreciated. The car seems to be happy and no diagnostic codes are being set.

Thanks.
