74 Volvo 164 - $800 (Aberdeen, WA) With three sidedraft carb intake? 140-160

I found this advert while dreaming of that Volvo 164 I'd like to care for someday.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/3888192039.html

I know some of you seek the three carb side draft air intake manifold (port?). Last time I made mention of the three downdraft carb intake manifold used in the Volvo Penta AQ 165, AQ 170 engine, yet we don't dare harm the gentle curve of the 164 bonnet, lest we slap on a giant tacky hood scoop and super charger a la Mad Max.

I have no connection with this at all. Seattle craigslist has another 164 with M410.

74 4 door 5 spd (4 plus overdrive) Beautiful black leather interior (redone but original pattern). Ran but hard to start when hot. Rust around windshield, have many parts, (front '72 bumper clip, R.I. motor out of '72). Also core motor with very rare 3 carbs. (if you want super reliable fun car - do carbs) Lots of stock rims etc. Price reflects value of overdrive and Interior.
Basically parts price, turns over haven't tried to get running yet. When it run, $$$ goes up! Feel free to come and look and make run and save money. Could put trans in a 122 and sell for parts. Overdrive will turn your 122 into a freeway flyer

Pics to come tonight or in the morning

I'll guess I'll be chained to the Volvo 240 chagrin for life's remainder. I'm very jealous of you Volvo pushrod folks. You are an epitome of the delights when Swedish Steel was good stuff, and the cylinder head was of the same mettle as the engine (pun intended).

The mighty B30 mated to the mighty M410.

Hope that helps you that seek the OEM 3 carb sidedraft for the B30.

I have deep respect for you folks that care for the 100 (110-164) and earlier series.

cheers,
