I have just replaced clutch in my 83 245 and want to make sure i have the adjustment right. clutch catches probably 3/4 of the way up on the pedal stroke, so there is a small amount of play when you feather the pedal at the top. however, the manuals say you should be able to pull up on the pedal when the car is turned off, and have some play before hitting the pedal stop. I am unable to lift up on the pedal of the car at all, as it sits against the pedal stop.
Do I need to adjust my clutch for this at all, and if so, how do I do it? There are nuts on each side of the clutch fork. I was originally just spinning the nut closest to the rear of the car for my adjustment; do I need to hold the nut on the clutch fork side as well when I am doing this, or not? Thanks
