The brake pedal on our 1988 240 would slowly yield when foot was left on the pedal. So I ordered a new master cylinder from IPD, after installing it I started purging the brake system and found the top bleeder was broke even on the front left caliper. Tried the EZ out routine, no workee. So a trip to U Pull It for a replacement. Started to remove the wounded caliper on my car and one of the metal hoses would not come loose, even using a proper 11mm flare wrench it rounded the nut. Autozone sells a 12 inch tube with bubble ends and metric nuts, but it takes a while to get that sucker bent. OK, finally got everything tight, flushed with Valvoline synthetic Dot 3 -4, purged all air (i think) and now it brakes a lot better. But i still get that drifting feeling that the pedal slowly, slowly sinks if i leave my foot on it. Any suggestions???
