Speedo head rebuilt and blinking service light 900

Hey guys:

I just had my mother's speedo head rebuilt and now when I shift gears and start moving the service light starts blinking as I accelerate and stays on as I the speed is constant. Nothing when I am in park and shifting gears. Any thoughts? Does the computer have to get used to the rebuilt unit. Other than that the speedo and the odometer work now.
