After a long storage it appears the AC fuel pump (glass dome) is not sending fuel to the carbs. The car started once perfectly but appears to flood every time now unless we just directly inject fuel into the carbs. Upon inspection, there appears to be loose matter (maybe rust, not sure) in the dome and laying on the filter/screen.
Can the dome simply be lifted and the fuel removed and the loose matter removed? We're hoping it's just preventing the valves from working properly but more worried the loose matter has caused damage and a repair will be needed.
We have the green manuals but can't find any info on the fuel pump or its repair.
Any suggestions? Thanks,
