i have a no start 1992 244 parts car.

1. i have a 92 244 with -556 ecu.
2. i replaced ecu with known working one from my 92 245, with egr.
3. i jumped fuses 4 & 6, main fuel pump runs.
4. i replaced cps with non split cps.
5. i have 12V at coil, #1 & ground.
6. coil primary resistance about 2 Ohms
7. coil secondary resistance show about 7000 Ohms, bentley states should be 9500 +- 1500 Ohms.
8. i opened the fuel rail schrader valve, fuel jets out--i don't have a fuel pressure gauge.
9. i pulled coil to distributor wire & placed a screwdriver in it next to car ground, no spark.
10. for the OBD, LED light does not come when button is pressed and key in ignition, position II.
11. i also replaced the ignition box from a junker, don't know if it works, though.

all no start so far. this is my parts car, but i've kept everything intact to start the car to keep the engine in good condition.

i checked the bb archives and tried to figure it out myself but haven't found the problem, yet. i plan on pulling the ecu and ignition connectors and going through tests.

my next thought is getting a used coil from the junkyard.
