Water Pump pulley failed 120-130

Rebuilt a B20 last year. At that time I installed a Flex-a-Lite fan kit I bought on Ebay that was originally sold by IPD.

Well, fast forward about 18 months and 1,500 miles and I noticed some ticking coming from the front of the engine. Did a quick visual check and wiggled everything but couldn't find the source. With the belt removed it vanished entirely. This morning on startup the clicking was much worse. Looked under the hood and could see the water pump pulley and fan were wobbling around. Upon closer inspection, the aluminum pulley is actually cracked at the face where it bolts to the water pump.

A) Best guess at a root cause? The IPD fan kit has a spacer between the pulley and fan. Belt too tight? Fan out of balance?

B) Anyone have a regular ole' 4 blade fan and pulley sitting around they'd like to part with? Any cosmetic condition is fine, just need solid functional parts. I'm not convinced the Flex-a-Lite gave me any extra cooling, particularly now that the entire cooling system has been rebuilt to essentially as-new.
