Ok, I've got a weird one. My speedo has decided that it doesn't want to scare me with speeds over about 62 mph. It reads accurately up to that speed but stops climbing when I continue to accelerate past 62. Got a ticket for 73 and protested, but afterwards, I noticed that I could continue to accelerate past 62 and the needle froze at that point, then had a long lag when I slowed, starting to move downwards after I passed 62 on the way down, then read accurately all the way to a stop. I can understand a function/no function sort of binary phenomenon, but I can't figure out an explanation for this. Any ideas?
