M47 Fluid, if Volvo OEM 1161645 is not available, what Redline MTL version?

We now know not to use ATF "Type F" in an M47 / M47 II. Even if synthetic fluid like Redline or Amsoil.

The Amsoil offerings for manual transmission fluid are rather limited.

So, Redline?

In this thread:

A conclusion one may draw is using Redline MTL 70W80 GL-4 Gear Oil.

Redline offerings here: http://www.redlineoil.com/Products.aspx?pcid=7.

Amsoil manual transmission fluids seem not to offer what is quite right for M47 / M47 II.

Amsoil offerings here: http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/transmission-fluid/manual/.

Tony H on this board uses Royal Purple Synchromax.

http://royalpurpleconsumer.com/products/synchromax-manual-transmission-fluid/?crawler=true

Royal Purple provides no info on its lubricants. No specification chart as Redline and Amsoil do.

Of course, vvpete of both brickboard and turbobrick fame would state using nothing other than:

Part Number 1161645
Part Name TRANSMISSION OIL
MSRP $23.95
Core $0.00
Save $9.36
Online Price $14.59

Else, vvpete, in prior posts, has stated Redline MTL (what MTL version?) is the best proxy if no Volvo OEM Part Number 1161645.

So, what Redline MTL version do YOU use in your M47 / M47 II?

cheers,

Thanks.

Dud.
