I am new to this forum and already having a blast looking through everything!
That being said I do have a question. I have a 92 240 with 107k on the clock with m47 5 speed manual. Last week my clutch pedal started to have a small amount of spongy feel to it (maybe the top quarter of the throw) and a couple days later the clutch started to slip and the pedal is now spongy almost to the bottom and has noticeably less resistance. I do all my own work on both my cars and my volvo hasn't seen the inside of a shop in a couple years other than for inspections.
I believe it has the original clutch so the slippage is likely due to it being worn out but I'm very confused as to why the clutch pedal is showing such symptoms. I have never done a clutch job is it something the average mechanic can handle? I've done engine swaps but never tried to get a transmission out on the floor of my garage. Anything in particular to look out for?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
Mike
