Production years of 544?

I owned several 544`s back in the 70`s.....most were great cars & fun to drive. Reliable too after my series of British sports cars.
I have read over the years that production of the 544 stopped in 1969. Is that accurate? I have never seen a model of 544 past `66. Did production continue to 1969 but imports to NA cease post 1966?
